Minnesota Underage Consumption | Minor Consumption Law
No person under 21 years of age may purchase alcoholic beverages or possess or consume alcoholic beverages at a place other than his or her parent’s home. This prohibition does not apply if the underage person’s activity is undertaken for training, education, or research purposes and is supervised by a responsible person who is over the age of 21. Increased penalties apply to underage purchasers who misrepresent that their age is 21 or older if they have been convicted previously of such an offense.
